An Experimental Study on the Effect of Halotrichia on the Intravascular Coagulation Induced by endotoxinin Rats.

Abstract
|

|
In order to investigate the effect of the Holotrichia on the intravascular coagulation induced by endotoxin in rats. The intra vascular coagulation was induced by injecting endotoxin in the caudal vein of rats. And these rats were treated with
solid
extract of Holitrichia 5.37 mg/200g (Sample) which were administered orally. And then the number of platelets, concentration of fibrinogen, Prothrombin time and FDP (fibrinogen degradation product) were measured.
@ES The results were summarized as follows:
@EN 1) Platelet was increased in sample compared with the control group.
2) Prothrombin time was shortened significantly in sample compared with the cointrol group.
3) Fibrinogen was increased significantly in sample compared with the control group.
4) FDP was decreased significantly in sample compared with the control group.
5) Hematocrit was decreased significantly in sample compared with the control group.
According to the above results Holotrichia had significant effects on Prothrombin time, Fibrinogen, FDP and Hematocrit.
Therefore, it is considered that Holotrichia and be applied to the diseases related to throimbesis.
